  Every time the A-level maintenance of steam turbines in power plant, scale and attachments attached to the blades of steam turbine and nozzles of clapboard must be cleaned. The number of blades and nozzles of steam turbine is large, the gap between blades is small, the texture of scale is relatively hard, and it is firmly combined with metal surface, so it is very difficult to clean. It is almost impossible to remove it manually.

  In the past, there was no better method, and the compressed air was often used to carry out physical sandblasting with small particles of yellow sand. This method can clean the dirt and attachments, and its cleaning speed is relatively fast, but this method has the following disadvantages.

  1) Sand blasting technology can damage the metal surface while cleaning the dirt and attachments. The actual reflection is that the cleaned metal surface becomes bright, and the original smooth surface becomes rough. This will have a certain impact on the normal operation and economy of steam turbine in the future.

  2) A large amount of dust is produced during sandblasting process, which seriously pollutes the site and surrounding environment and endangers the health of workers. Most of employees who have been engaged in this work for a long time have occupational diseases - silicosis, which do not meet the current environmental protection requirements.
