Comparison of advantages and disadvantages of dry sandblasting and water blasting cleaning machines

2023-03-11 23:24:36

Dry sand blasting rust removal machine is a common rust removal process in anti-corrosion industry. It has been used maturely for decades. In recent years, water sand blasting rust removal machines have gradually emerged due to environmental protection issues. High-pressure cleaner water blasting derusting machine is a technology that emerged in the 1970s. It was introduced into China in the 1980s and has been widely used throughout the country.

Comparison of advantages and disadvantages of dry sandblasting and water blasting cleaning machines

Both the dry sand blasting machine and water sand blasting machine use the impact force, cutting force and friction force of abrasive to remove rust. The efficiency is different; there is also the fact that after water blasting and rust removal, due to high activity of metal surface and presence of water, floating rust will quickly occur. Therefore, water blasting and rust removal should consider rust prevention or secondary rust removal.

  Dry sandblasting rust remover

High-pressure gas is used as power, so a large amount of dust will be generated (especially when river sand is used as abrasive), mainly composed of abrasive powder and rust ash. Now Sandblasting Machinery has developed a wet and dry gun head, which sprays a small amount of water while sandblasting, which can completely eliminate the problem of air pollution.

Disadvantages: supporting air pressure equipment is required; sand materials need to be dried before they can be reused.

High pressure cleaner water jet sandblasting rust remover

High-pressure cleaning machine water sandblasting derusting machine: it is powered by high-pressure water, and uses negative pressure formed when high-pressure water jet is sprayed through "special water sandblasting gun head" to inhale and mix abrasives (quartz sand or river sand). The sand mixed flow is sprayed onto the surface of workpiece at high speed, and the rust layer and stains are removed by using the impact force of high-pressure water and the impact force, cutting force and friction force of abrasives.

Note: Although there is high-pressure water (500 kg) for water jet sandblasting and rust removal, the rust removal effect is not obvious due to the limited pressure (water rust removal requires a pressure of more than 2000 kg to remove rust), so the rust removal efficiency is related to abrasive spray efficiency, there is a direct relationship.

Advantages: no supporting air compressor equipment is required.

Disadvantages: The sand material needs to be dried before it can be reused.

Efficiency comparison between dry sand blasting machine and high-pressure cleaner water jet sand blasting machine

The dry sandblasting derusting method uses high-pressure air as the power to directly spray abrasives. Its spraying efficiency is very high. In addition, impact energy of abrasives is large, so the derusting efficiency is very high. A set of equipment and a team can derust about 200 square meters a day ( Sa2.5 standard).

  Disadvantages: serious dust pollution

High-pressure cleaning machine water sandblasting is powered by high-pressure water jets. Although water jets have a certain impact force, they cannot remove rust layer alone due to insufficient impact force. Rust removal still depends on impact force, cutting force and friction force of abrasives. It is negative pressure suction water jet generated during high-pressure water jet injection, so the amount of abrasives is limited, and rust removal efficiency is naturally low. Generally, one equipment and one team will remove about 90 square meters of rust per day (Sa2.5 standard).

Advantages: environmental protection, dust-free and pollution-free
